ValioCon!!!!!! Hands down one of the best conferences I have been too! Unlike many jam-packed and overwhelming conferences, ValioCon was a small and laid back conference with some HUGE talent in the heart of Carlsbad, Ca. I had the opportunity to cover the event (thanks to Drew Wilson) and would do it 10 times over. I had the opportunity to finally meet up with some good friends that I have been networking with for the past couple years. The weekend was packed with bonfires, cold beers, amazing speakers, photo booths, and most importantly great conversation and community. I had an amazing time and can’t wait for ValioCon 2012. The Rekoning :: Band Promos

I have been working at my new job for almost a year now and have met some amazing people there. Josh, the guitarist for The Rekoning, is one of these amazing individuals. I have always been a big fan of Facedown & Strikefirst Record bands, so I was proud to help these guys out with some photography for the album. The Bravery :: AdobeMAX @ LA Live

It’s been quite a while and I have some really exciting projects brewing- but I couldn’t wait any longer to post this show. I attended the AdobeMAX Conference this year in Los Angeles, and they had a huge surprise for the conference bash….The Bravery! I have always been familiar with their music, but never expected the live show they put on. Their music has an energy that caught me by surprise and I have a new found respect for their music. For Today :: Bleeding Through :: After the Burial

Over ten years ago I went to my first indie hardcore/metal show at the glasshouse in Pamona, CA. Bleeding Through headlined, and this became the first show of many many more. Last week when I had the opportunity to shoot Bleeding Through at the Key Club in Hollywood (thanks to my hommie Josh highland), I jumped at the chance. The Anti Hero Tour also featured the amazing bands After the Burial and For Today. With their high energy and steadfast passion, For Today was definitely the highlight of the night for me. I have always been a big advocate for bands on Facedown Records and For Today is definitely one of those bands. I had a great night at the Key Club and I hope you enjoy the shots! Much Love!

Three Bad Jacks :: Studio & Promo

Harvest Crusade 2010 :: O.C. Supertones

This was my first time ever shooting an event this big. Harvest Crusade is a pretty cool evangelistic event put on by Greg Laurie. They have made a huge impact by sharing the good news all over. It was an amazing experience walking around on stadium floor with a crowd of 50,000 cheering (not for me of course). They were cheering for the amazing artist who played that night…. The OC Supertones, Sanctus Real, and Phil Wickham. A big shout out to my hommie Jesse Craig for get me the credentials while the was playing guitar for The Supertones reunion tour. I also had the opportunity to shoot with Trever Hoehne, a photographer I respect greatly…..(if you haven’t seen his work, leave my blog and peep it now). I have picked some of my favorites to share with you. Enjoy!

Jonathan Butler + Dave Koz

So if you know me well, you will not Im not a smooth Jazz guy, but I am a drummer and musician who can appreciate good talent . Every once and a while I get the opportunity to see a concerts at the Champagne Jazz Concert Series at Thorton Winery in Temecula, CA. I have never had the urge to shoot any of these, however when I heard Dave Koz, Sheila E. & Jonathan Butler were playing, I had to take my camera. Dave Koz is always amzing….band included, but if you haven’t heard of Jonathan he is a must hear. Every time I see him I am absolutely blown away. Hope you enjoy the pics below and I also played around with some video to show you my favorite Bulter song….. which is a cover of Bob Marley of course.

Baby Poppy

So it seems that all my friends turning out babies like its going out of style, which means I get to take photographs of all the cute little boogers! On July 30th, 2010 this beautiful little girl was born to my good friends Jesse & Renae. Babies are pretty easy to shoot when they are sleeping, so this shoot was pretty low stress. Enjoy & Much Love!
